A luxury linen brand that supplies some of the most famous five-star hotels in the world is expanding its team to include a five-star-hotel bed tester – truly, a dream job.
The successful applicant will be paid by Tielle Love Luxury to spend the night in some of the country’s best hotels – from the iconic Savoy and newly opened Grantley Hall in North Yorkshire to quirky boutique hotels such as Artist Residence.
They will then report back on how the linen is experienced by guests in these exclusive settings and make suggestions on how a night’s sleep could be improved even further.

Tielle Love Luxury has dressed over one million five-star hotel beds and also provides its hotel clients with the finest towels, robes and table linen ‘for that all-round, luxury experience’.
After hotel staff were regularly asked by guests how they could replicate the same night’s sleep at home, Tielle Love Luxury set up an online store, to allow people to get hotel quality bed linen in their own homes.
The new five-star bed-tester role was created by the business post-lockdown as the hotel industry slowly reopens and guests expect, more than ever, a faultless experience.
The successful applicant will get paid £200 per night as well as travel expenses and will be asked to report back to their colleagues on a number of aspects of their stay including bed comfort, quality of sleep and relaxation factor.
Their first day of dozing and snuggling will commence at London’s Savoy, a favourite amongst world leaders, celebrities and royalty, which remains open for business, even during this second lockdown.
Dream job: Alison Vernon, Director of Rooms at The Savoy, described the role as a ‘once-in-a-lifetime opportunity’
Catherine Morris, managing director at Tielle Love Luxury, explained: ‘As we started to think about our hotels reopening post lockdown, we spotted an opportunity to enhance the expertise within our team. Whilst my colleagues are the best in the business when it comes to linen, quality, responsible sourcing and all-round luxury, we realised that in order to maintain our expert position, we need to really understand what our guests are experiencing on a regular basis and that means walking in their shoes, or, more literally, sleeping in their beds!
‘Our new employee will travel the UK spending the night in some of the country’s most prestigious hotels. We’re looking for someone with an exceptional eye for detail, who isn’t afraid to speak their mind and who knows their way around a great hotel room.
‘Tielle Love Luxury has worked with five-star hotels for over 30 years, but today, it’s not as easy to go on breaks or take that business trip, so when people do, it needs to be nothing short of perfect. Our company’s mission has always been to deliver the best night’s sleep to hotel guests around the world. Employing a five-star bed tester will mean we’ve got someone in our team who is making sure we do just that.’
Alison Vernon, Director of Rooms at The Savoy, said: ‘This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get paid for spending time in some of the world’s most exclusive hotels. We expect Tielle Love Luxury to be inundated with applicants and can’t wait to meet the lucky new employee on their first day, here at The Savoy.’
The new role will commence in 2021 and interested applicants should visit www.tielleloveluxury/win-your-dream-job to apply before December 10, 2020.
